Mentor System - Mentor's Guide

Mentor's Guide Apprentice's Path Beacon Trial Path to Enlightenment

Legend tells of ancient sages who were blessed by the gods and received the precious spark of wisdom. Facing this invaluable knowledge, these sages chose not to hoard it but selflessly passed it to their fellow humans whose civilization was just beginning to flourish. These sages became known as "Guiding Mentors".

Like beacons in the dark night, Guiding Mentors illuminated the path for the lost. Their reputation for selfless devotion spread far and wide. Yet during the great catastrophe of the gods' fall, the mentors were also affected, and this legacy faded into the long river of time.

Now, the ancient beacons are rekindled. The legacy of Guiding Mentors has emerged from the tides of time. The Narbonde Academy recently unearthed the ancient teachings of these wisdom-bestowing sages from sealed ruins. By adopting their apprentice-training methods, a brand new Mentor System arrives with great fanfare!

Bright Trial

Any warrior wishing to become a Guiding Mentor must first prove their qualification to guide others. Warriors who have apotheosised and are not currently someone else's apprentice may challenge the "Beacon Trial" to verify their wisdom and strength. Successfully passing grants official qualification as a "Guiding Mentor".

However, becoming a mentor doesn't mean one can become complacent. Even established mentors must keep pace with the times. Each year, Guiding Mentors must retake the Bright Trial to verify their continued capability to fulfill mentor duties. Only by passing can they maintain their mentor status.

After the annual evaluation begins, those who fail to pass the Bright Trialmay continue guiding current apprentices but lose all mentor privileges and cannot recruit new apprentices.

Apprentice Recruitment Guide

After passing the "Beacon Trial" and obtaining mentor qualification, warriors may recruit Apprentices.

Beyond traditional face-to-face recruitment, warriors can post mentor-seeking notices on the mentorship platform or browse others' applications to find worthy apprentices.

Guidance Quests

After successfully recruiting apprentices, mentors can help them grow through various methods, including assigning "Guidance Quests".

Guidance Quests are growth directives provided by mentors. Completing objectives significantly boosts apprentice strength. Covering areas like eudemons, equipment, dungeons, and social interactions, they provide comprehensive guidance. Mentors can assign appropriate quests based on each apprentice's progress.

Bond & Guidance Level

A bond exists between Guiding Mentors and Apprentices. Raising the bond value increases the bond level. The sum of all mentor-apprentice bond levels becomes the mentor's Guidance Level (max 10). Bond value increases through:

· Apprentices completing mentor-assigned Guidance Quests

· Private communication between apprentice and mentor

· Mentor and apprentice jointly challenging dungeons/events including:

Ancient Fire Tomb, Frosty Relic, Whistling Tavern, Cross-server Family War, Devildom, Evil Abyess, Legion War

However, bonds fade over time. If no above interactions occur within a week, bond value decreases by 2500 points.

Apprentice Graduation

When an apprentice completes 60 Guidance Quests and achieves bond level 3 with their mentor, they may challenge the Path to Enlightenment.

During this path, apprentices must complete 3 trials with mentor assistance to officially graduate.

Mentor Skills

Upon becoming a Guiding Mentor, warriors gain these exclusive skills, which strengthen with Guidance Level:

Guidance Chain: Creates a divine link between mentor and apprentice, sharing a portion of the mentor's power. For 30 minutes after activation, when partying with apprentices in Ancient Fire Tomb, Dark Realm or Gloria Attire Dungeon, apprentices gain bonus stats (Divine Damage, Crit, Crit Damage) based on the attribute difference (from Divine Fire) between mentor and apprentice, applied at a scaling ratio.

Beacon Rally: Mentors become guiding beacons. Summons all online apprentices to your location for immediate assistance.

Gratitude Blade: Apprentices forge blades from light to protect their mentor. When attacking enemies, triggers an AoE damage around the target (or skill location). Has a cooldown period.

Guidance Coin Rewards

As appreciation for mentors' dedication, Narbonde Academy prepared special rewards. Each time an apprentice completes a Guidance Quest, mentors receive "Guidance Coins" redeemable at the Guidance Shop for various prizes.
