Cross Gate
This Japanese MMORPG was developed by Dwango, and features a traditional Japanese style. The graphics system is 2D, with player characters pre-rendered in 3D. There are 56 possible character choices, including 14 unique characters with 4 color variations. 60 jobs and 80 unique skills are included in game. One of the distinctive features of this game is its “Creature System”. This game allows players to take 5 creatures with them while traveling and place one creature fighting with them while battling. There are around 200 creatures to collect. Released in 2001, this game may be kind of old now, but it has attracted a huge audience because of those interesting pets.

Eudemons Online
Eudemons Online is presented by one of the top Chinese developer TQ Digital, but is a western fantasy style MMORPG. This game is most famous for its pet system. Compare to Cross Gate, the pets in Eudemons Online play an even more crucial role, because pets determine your Battle Power. You can take 12 pets with you and summon up to three pets in combat. The unique part is pets can be converged with their owner, augmenting extra power. As the current news goes, this game is going to add a new Vampire class in it on June 30th, 2011. Vampires are born to converge with a dark pet. As you sacrifice and level it up, you'll be able to summon the terrifying ghostly horse. Vampires are coming with a totally different fun pet system, which is more than evolution and assisting in battles.

Rappelz
The Korean company, Gala Labs, developed this game, which was publish in many language versions. It's set in a medieval fantasy world, and dominated by three races. The basic classes and fighter classes have little emphasis on creatures, while summoner classes can affect creatures more. Pets are attained by taming a pet while having the appropriate card for that pet in the player's inventory. Once tamed, pets can be summoned and banished at will by their owners. With the release of Epic 7 in fall of 2010, pets may be Staged or combined into stronger pets with better stats, new skill, and durability.
