Boasting a rich cultural essence and a history that spans over five thousand years, traditional Chinese festivals compose an important and amazing part of Chinese culture. To offer our players a better insight into the civilization of this oriental country, the TQ team will be hosting a string of special events! This way, you will have a chance to experience some of the more vivid Chinese customs. The first festival we're about to embrace is the annual Spring Festival; the biggest and most important festival of the year!

In Chinese, "Guo Nian" means the passing of the year, and celebrating the coming of Spring season. The word "Nian" means "year". It originates from the mythical monster Nian, who according to legend, came to terrorize people on the last day of the lunar year. Nian had a fear of loud noises and the color red, therefore, people pasted red paper couplets and images of the door god on walls and doors, as well as hung red lanterns and set off firecrackers to scare the monster away. Of course, it's just a fairy tale, but the traditions have been well preserved, even today. Everyone wishes to have a prosperous and joyful new year!

And that's the short story of the history of the Chinese Spring Festival. If you are eager to know more about it, come join the Spring Festival Event in game, from May 28th to 31st! You will be able to experience the fun of Hunting Nian Monsters and receive the Fireworks Blessing! The Cattle Eudemons and the Tiger Eudemons will be the stars of the show! And you have the chance to gain some wonderful rewards! It's awesome!

This is the first episode of the China Custom Tour. We'll be presenting more interesting Chinese festival themed events in the future, and it will be a lot of fun to learn more about this country and its fabulous customs. All you need to do is keep those eyes glued here!
